For your undivided pleasure GS Ireland would like to introduce to you a night of Sharp Shooting, Easy Sleazy , Mind Altering, rock 'n' roll!!! The Victims (Or bands) if you will on the night are!! Hounds - www.myspace.com/houndslikejumpers Think roomy-ass Albini drum sounds and mind altering guitar tones over a sea of fender jaguars! Murder Plan - www.myspace.com/murderplanb Murder Plan are best described as alternative rock with a hint of jazz blues. All in their mid-20s, they started in 2006 in a gin & brandy haze on a beach on the Northern side of the Dublin metropolitan district. They are a 5-piece outfit, incorporating piano, drums, guitar and bass into their sound. Rifle Fire Rifle - www.myspace.com/riflefirerifle Rifle Fire Rifle are a 3 piece from from Donaghmede, Dublin Ireland. Phil - Guitar + Vox, Rob - Bass + Vox, Nick - Drums, Formed in 2006 and after a solid year rehearsing and crafting their art they unleashed themselves to the wolves. They play what can be best described aggressive post-punk, full of intense rythemes and angualar guitar lines. Taking inflences Fugazi and At the drive in to name a few! They hammer it out, They do it fast and They dont look back! Sons of Jacobian - www.myspace.com/sonsofjacobian Sons Of Jacobian Dublin Formed in late 2005 Sons of Jacobian started out as three mates having a jam but soon turned into the original rock band it is today. It's mix of heavy riffs and melodic tunes are what makes SoJ so different from the rest. Though just a three piece SoJ will show you a live show like no other and amaze you with their display of energy and need to perform. They're an amazing band with high prospects. They are bursting onto the dublin scene with an amazing and exhilarating live set that will blow you away from start to finish. So i hope to see ya's all there! |

So the GigSmart gigs are back ....?
The latest news from GigSmart So whats happening? So the GigSmart gigs are back ....?
Potentially looking to do about 5-6 decently organised gigs with bands who want towork towards doing something a litter bigger than the "run of the mill" effort. These will be bands who have singles , Ep's albums either complete or in process, the gig should help in the promotion of these for the bands themselves. Its back to the basics of what made GigSmart gigs good in the first instance.
Past participation in GigSmart is not essential but understanding that you are working to help promote the other bands you share the stage with is. Finally and most importantly, this will be run and coordinated through GS and run within GS terms and conditions, i.e those described above, a rather retracted call for bands but past experience neccesitates me spelling it all out. back to the basics of what made GigSmart gigs good in the first instance. Pulling together and having a great laugh in the process |
